Enjoy a day out…

…and a night away from home…

The following events are all within driving distance of Barngate Farm – you are very welcome to come and stay with us.

I have discovered three really useful websites – each of these will give you plenty of ideas of things to do whilst staying at Barngate Farm

1. Visit Kent

“Whatever your interest, Kent is full of exciting attractions for everyone. Taste salt-spray. Smell apple blossom. Drink in pastoral views. Step off the treadmill. Duck out of the rat race. Rediscover you. Within minutes you can, in Kent.

In few other places is London so near, and yet feels so far away. Kent offers everything from ultra-modern art galleries to centuries-old heritage sites. From romantic, short weekend breaks to fun-filled family holidays. From lazy, luxury spa breaks to exhilarating cliff-top hikes. You’re never stuck for things to do in Kent. With its super-fast links to London, Belgium and France, some people speed straight through Kent. But those in-the-know appreciate there are a million reasons to slow down and explore.”

2. Discover the Garden of England

Things to do in Kent and Sussex

There is a wealth of things to see and do in Kent and Sussex – you can be as active or as lazy as you please. From wonderful places to eat and afternoon tea rooms, luxurious spas and great shopping to enjoying the great outdoors with activities such as mountain biking, cycling, rock climbing, walking, watersports, award winning golf courses or even guided tours, you’re sure to find the perfect way to relax in the Garden of England.

Search our listings of Things to See and Do using the search options on the left of the screen, and make the most of your visit to the Garden of England.

3. Seven Wonders of the Weald

“The Seven Wonders are located within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, south of London and spanning the borders of Kent and Sussex. The nearest town is Royal Tunbridge Wells which is the Gateway to the Seven Wonders. It is an area where historic buildings, rolling grasslands, abundant woodlands, sunken lanes and captivating villages combine to make one of England’s finest destinations.”

These tunnels should be open to the public in the summer of 2014
